Texas Beaches

Here are some of the best kept secret beaches in Texas!! These will put your summer over the top!!   They are all kid friendly, so pack up that family and get moving!!   Boca Chica: This is a secluded beach where the river flows into the Gulf. It’s located in the Rio Grande Delta in Brownsville.   Laguna Atascosa Refuge: This location is not a place you would really want to swim, but the wildlife is abundant here. You will find this place on Highway 106 out close to Matamoros.   Baffin Bay: If you like to fish and hunt, this is a great bay. It is surrounded by private ranches, with the most beautiful sunsets.   Padre Island: This is the longest undeveloped barrier island in the whole world. This is not the same as South Padre Island, so don’t confuse the two places.   Mustang Island State Park: This beach is a popular one, so not much of being...

Chip and Joanna Gains

Ever watched “The ‘Fixer Upper” on the HGTV channel? If so, you probably know the names Chip and Joanna Gains. This week, I want to feature this amazing and talented couple, in Waco, TX. Joanna has a retail shop that she started in 2003. After having baby #2, her and Chip decided to shut it down to focus on their family and renovation business. May 2014 is when the couple decided to reopen the shop. “The ‘Fixer Upper” show, was in full swing at this time, which spiked popularity of the couple’s shop. This forced them to find and relocate to a larger space. As of March 22, the new shop opens in the larger space. It will include a warehouse of damaged and last chance items, a garden store, as well as a bakery.  This whole space is known as the Magnolia Market at the Silos, generating around 1.6 million visitors in...

P.A. Theme Park on Mountain!

Today, we are traveling to Pennsylvania to visit a fun filled family vacation place! I want to share with you, the Camelback Mountain Adventures theme park!!   This theme park features thrill rides, including zip lining, a treetop course, Segways, and a pipeline mountain slide. The most exciting thrill at this park is the Mountain Coaster.   This coaster starts at the top of the mountain, which is 4,500 feet high, and goes zooms down the mountain doing twists and turns. Children 3 and older, and at least 3 feet tall, are permitted on the Appalachian Express Mountain Coaster. If you are in the driver seat, you must be 9 years old, and at least 4 feet and 4 inches tall. Don’t let this make you think it is a children’s ride, this coaster is fun for all ages.   Being that it is a mountain side coaster, you would expect the tickets to be expensive....

Money is tight, bills are piling up, and you’re not sure what to do. No matter how hard you try, it just is not enough to makes ends meet. You start getting “Notice of Default” letters in the mail and they won’t stop calling you. Your home is about to go into foreclosure. Your mind immediately starts racing to thoughts of filing Bankruptcy, the lender for your home can’t take your home way if that happens……   Not entirely true!!   There are 2 different types of Bankruptcy you can file, Chapter 7 and Chapter 13. They are very different from each other and how they help, so please do your research before making a choice. Bankruptcy is usually filed after 2-3 payments have been missed on the mortgage of the home. Once the bankruptcy is filed, the process of foreclosure will be postponed automatically until the bankruptcy is finalized. This process will usually...
