Sports getting Houston excited!

Houston is the 4th most populous city in the United States and the largest city in the Southern United States with the population of 2.303 million in 2016. With a city that big, you can expect sports to be just as big.   Hockey You would only expect this huge city to have all major sports teams, but that is not the case for one sport. I can only imagine that when you live in Houston and you hear the word HOCKEY, you’re thinking "That's crazy, hockey fans in Houston?" Houston did have a hockey team called the Houston Aeros, which was an AHL/IHL team. This could all be changing soon though. Now that Tilman Fertitta owns the Toyota Center, thoughts of more entertainment have occurred. Question is: will it be a new team that forms, just like the Las Vegas Knights? Or will they move an already formed team to H-town? There have been...

It’s Super Bowl time in Houston!

It's Super Bowl time in Houston!  Although most of the post season match-ups this year have been quite the disappointment, this one is set to have nothing but fireworks.  This match-up features two offensive juggernauts that have been shredding defenses left and right all year long.  The Falcons, led by quarterback Matt Ryan, have averaged a whopping 430 yards  per game during the regular season.  The receiving core with the likes of Jones and Sanu have averaged over 300 yards a game, giving defensive coordinators nightmares each time they face them.  This goes without mentioning the two-headed monster at the running back position with Freeman and Coleman, who have averaged over 120 yards per game against opposing defenses.  This much firepower on one side of the ball has really made it difficult to contain all year long.  Though the Atlanta defense has gotten the job done, it has been the offenses...

If you go back and look at most of the statistics for the game, you would assume that the Texans came home with a win, however there were two key areas that had the Texans coming back to Houston without a win.   The Texans had...

Who is ready for football? Today marks the beginning of the 2015 NFL season. It is time to fire up the grill, have a few cold beers, and root for your favorite team! There is no better way to celebrate the first weekend than having a party at your home. Here are some tips on having a great football party in your home! Make it a Pot Luck. Have all your family and friends bring their favorite finger foods and sides so you are not stuck with all the pregame cooking. Handle the main dish and have your guests handle the rest.
